LEARNER’S PERMIT

The learner’s permit must be carried on every training drive and shown at the start of each lesson without being asked. If the permit is not carried, the lesson will not take place but will still be charged.

Note: The learner’s permit can be applied for at the Road Traffic Office. Simply submit a learner’s permit application.

COST & PAYMENT

The general driving school rates of Gloor Learn & Drive apply as published on www.fahrschule-gloor.ch. Subscriptions must be paid in advance. To be eligible for subscription pricing, full packages (e.g. 5 or 10 lessons) must be purchased in advance. Once the credit is used, the single lesson rate applies. Before a practical driving test, all fees—including preparation and the test itself—must be paid. Otherwise, participation can be refused. Subscriptions and individual lessons can be paid immediately in cash or within 7 days via payment slip.

PICK-UP SERVICE

The pick-up service applies conditionally and explicitly only from a double lesson without a trailer.

FREE LESSON

The free lesson can only be used once per driving course and is only valid when booking a double lesson. It cannot be combined with any other promotions, discounts, or offers.

ONLINE STARTER PACKAGE

The starter package can only be redeemed once per person and driving course. It is non-cumulative and cannot be paid out in cash. The package equals one free lesson when booking a double lesson at CHF 49.

PRINTED STARTER VOUCHER

The voucher for the starter subscription can only be redeemed once per person and course. It cannot be exchanged for cash. It is non-cumulative and cannot be combined with the ONLINE STARTER PACKAGE or other promotions and offers.

DURATION

A single lesson lasts 45 minutes, and a double lesson 90 minutes. Trailer lessons are only conducted as double lessons.

VEHICLE DAMAGE

A one-time, mandatory insurance and admin fee of CHF 120 applies for category B and BPT 121 (car), and CHF 150 for category BE (trailer). If training drives cause damage to the vehicle, the damage is covered by the driving school’s insurance. Exceptions apply for the starter package B/BPT 121 and/or trial lessons—liability and accident insurance is the learner’s responsibility. We recommend voluntary insurance for CHF 49, which can later be credited toward the regular insurance fee.

APPOINTMENTS & ABSENCES

Appointments arranged by phone, SMS or WhatsApp are binding, including lesson duration. In case of inability to attend, booked lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Otherwise, the lesson will be charged. Absences due to illness are only accepted with a doctor’s certificate.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

If agreed lessons cannot take place due to weather conditions, they may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge by both parties.

DRIVING FITNESS

Lessons may only be taken in a fit-to-drive condition. Any condition affecting driving ability must be reported before the lesson. If the lesson cannot be held, it is still considered payable.

TEST SIMULATION

If the test simulation is failed, the scheduled driving test will be cancelled or postponed.

TEST PREPARATION & PRACTICAL EXAM

For test preparation and the practical driving exam (2 hours), the following flat rates apply: Category B: CHF 240 and Category BE: CHF 350.
